Utter Radio is the University of Salford’s speech based student radio station, broadcasting live from the heart of MediaCityUK. A platform for students to showcase both academic and creative content through live or pre-recorded material, with a specialty in podcasts. On Utter Radio, you can expect to hear various programmes including: News, Drama, Sport, Comedy, Panel Shows, Magazine, Quizzes, & Poetry.

We established the station in September 2016 and in this time, we have joined the Student Radio Association as well as acquired a busy on-air schedule. We were awarded a highly commended certificate in the ‘Most Improved’ category at the 2020 ‘I Love Student Radio Awards’. We also received our first Student Radio Awards Nomination, thanks to DSM Teifi James’ podcast ‘Disabled by Definition’.
